AWARDED CASINOS

Royal Vegas: a group award, and two years later a withdrawal

Both entries come from the same body, two years apart, and a page that prints only the first one is telling half of a record that is fully public.

Two entries, one archive, two years between them

The interesting thing about this brand's record is not the trophy but the fact that the body which gave it also published the opposite verdict twenty-four months later, in the same series, at the same kind of address (one page per edition, from 2001 to 2025). A page that prints the first line and not the second is telling half of a story that was never private, and the half it leaves out takes you about a minute to find on the same website that supplied the first.

A reader will say, fairly, that something recorded in 2005 is "ancient history" and cannot describe a casino of 2026. That is exactly why the year sits beside it.

What one body recorded, and when

Verified in the award body's own page · To the group Fortune Lounge, which Royal Vegas belonged to.

The 2003 edition of the Casinomeister awards named a "Best Casino Group", and the title went to Fortune Lounge, the company that then held this brand among several others. It is a group award in the strict sense (the recipient was the portfolio, not the address you would have typed), and the ledger above says so on the same line as the year.

Two years later the same forum put the same group in a category it calls "Fall From Grace", which is its own name for a "negative award" and which it reserves for operators struck off its "accredited" list (a status that portal grants after a sixty-day trial and withdraws without one). The two entries therefore come from one source, one series and one archive, and the second is as precisely dated as the first.

Read together, that pair says something about the body before it says anything about the brand. A forum willing to publish a withdrawal in the same format as a prize is a forum whose "archive" can be used as evidence (the 2003 page and the 2005 page are two separate addresses, both still live); a body that prints only its winners is one you can quote and never check.

What the pair cannot do is describe the operator a player would meet today, and we would rather say that plainly than let the 2005 line do work it is not entitled to do. Twenty-one years is long enough for four things to change (the owner, the platform, the licensing companies and the staff who answer a complaint), and in this case every one of them did.

The awards from that era that we could not keep

Fortune Lounge is also credited, on a handful of corporate and encyclopedic pages, with a run of awards from a magazine called Gambling Online between 2002 and 2005. We traced those to two sources only (a profile written by the subject, and a mirror of that profile), which are a company document compiled by the company itself and a copy of an old encyclopedia entry quoting it.

The magazine no longer exists and no "primary" record of its award pages is reachable; a prize whose only witnesses are the winner and a copy of the winner is not a prize this site will print. So from that whole period exactly one award survives on our ledger, and it survives for the dull reason that the body which gave it still publishes the page.

The present owner, and an outstanding check

The brand dates from 2000 and now belongs to the Palace group, run by Super Group as a division it calls Spin, with its paperwork held by Baytree (Alderney) Ltd on Alderney's "Category 1" entitlement (that island's top operating tier) together with Baytree Interactive Ltd of Guernsey on Kahnawake permit 00892. On the Ontario list the brand appears under Cadtree Limited (one of four Palace names registered there), which is a provincial entry on a separate site and not a second opinion about anything, because permission to trade is not a judgement on how the trading goes.

One check is genuinely outstanding, and leaving it visible costs us less than hiding it would. For several sibling brands we confirmed the exact domain on the regulators' own lists of "licensees"; for this one we did not, so what the box above reports is how the group's companies are licensed, rather than a line we read with this address printed on it.

One number, and half of a second one

The numeric reading is unremarkable, which on a page like this counts as information. The "Safety Index" at Casino Guru read seven point eight for this brand on 20 October 2026 (a weighted figure, rebuilt whenever a case closes), a result that portal places among its "Above average" entries, over sixteen complaints.

That card gives a volume and not a share of cases closed, so sixteen counts disputes filed and says nothing about how many ended "unresolved" (the count is published, the outcome is not). We print it as the portal publishes it, because inventing the missing half would be worse than carrying a number that is incomplete and dated.

Casinomeister supplies a third reading, and with it the shape of the whole page. The brand sits in that portal's "grey zone" now, neither accredited nor flagged, which means one body has issued three dated judgements about this group across twenty-three years: a title, a withdrawal, and a shrug!

The registers, and what they are silent about

This brand holds no British licence. That leaves the Commission's register empty of it in both directions, and across the Alderney and Kahnawake pages we managed to open, neither of the two companies carried a "regulatory action" entry.

What you can do with a body that keeps its archive

The instrument here is not a score but a reading habit, and it applies to any brand quoting a forum, a magazine or a panel. Find the body that is named, then read its whole archive for that brand rather than the single line which the brand chose to quote, because the bodies worth citing at all are the ones that publish both kinds of result.

On this brand the exercise takes two pages and ends in a draw (two pages, one body, twenty-three years), which is more than most award claims survive. The 2003 "Best Casino Group" is real, it belongs to a company and not to a website, and the same forum took the accreditation away in 2005.

Questions

Does a withdrawal from 2005 still matter?

Not as a judgement on the site today, and that is why the entry carries its year. It matters as a demonstration that the same body publishes both kinds of result, which is the reason its archive is worth reading at all.
